Post 9
This reading was about the sister of Notre Dame, Julie Billiart and Francoise Blin de Bourdon. Julie Billiart and Francoise Blin de Bourdon did not agree with the unfair treatment of others and fought against the French government. Both sisters took a lot of risks including their own lives. They proved that women withhold powerful forces by fighting for what they believed was right. To me, this reading was important especially during the Revolution because for the longest time, women were seen as weak, soft spoken and dull. It just stood out to me how just like Dorothy Stang, these women put their lives on the line fighting for equality and were determined to achieve their goals.
